I always attended yoga classes living in London but on moving to Hampshire I never really found a class that I loved enough to keep coming back to. I was therefore thrilled to finally find Melissa. Although Iyengar Yoga initially felt different from the flow classes I have gravitated towards in the past, I have learnt to really love it. Melissa is a brilliant teacher and has an obvious deep knowledge of her practice. The classes are clearly carefully planned and they are never the same, but enough of the poses are revisited to still feel like you are improving. Physically it is a challenge, and mentally the purity of the Iyengar method of teaching each pose in detail, makes for a really mindful hour and a half, - plus you can feel it the next day which is always a good sign! It’s the one thing in the week that I really never want to miss.

I’ve been taking Yoga classes for many years both in the UK and when travelling overseas. Having had the opportunity to compare Yoga’s various forms and to experience many teaching styles, I find Melissa’s classes by far the best, both in what she teaches and how she conducts the sessions, and I plan to stay one of her pupils for as long as I can. Melissa is thoroughly professional but her friendly and encouraging style means everyone has a sense of achievement, what ever their level; the class atmosphere is focussed, we are, of course, there to work, but it’s happy and relaxed. Her classes make a real difference to how I feel and to the way I carry myself, I cannot recommend them more highly.
